What is an HD Lace Closure Wig?

An HD closure wig is an improved closure wig that has HD lace in the crown area. HD lace is an ultra-thin version of Swiss lace. It is practically invisible, making your closure wig look like it’s growing directly from your scalp. There are three different closure wig sizes, including 4x4, 5x5, and 6x6.

Why Choose an HD Lace Closure Wig?

HD lace closure wigs are in high demand, and it's easy to see why. They are a huge step up from regular lace closure wigs, which don’t look nearly as natural. When you add HD lace to a closure wig, it becomes much more realistic and melts into any skin tone effortlessly.

An closure wig with HD lace is a great choice if you want to achieve a very natural look without spending a lot of money. Why? Because you get high-quality lace on an affordable wig structure (closure wig). Also, since you don’t get a lot of HD lace on a closure wig, this keeps you from spending a fortune on your unit.

On top of that, a closure wig is extremely easy to install and gives you the ability to try out different parts if you desire (middle parts and side parts).

    Closure Wigs vs. Frontal Wigs

Closure wigs and frontal wigs often get confused, so we’ll set the record straight here. Closure wigs have much less lace than frontal wigs. Lace frontal wigs have lace that extends all along the front hairline, while closure wigs only have lace in the crown. For this reason, frontal wigs are more expensive than closure wigs.

How to Install a Closure Wig

One of the best things about closure wigs is that they are easy to install compared to lace frontal, 360 lace, and full lace wigs. Here’s how you do it:

Step 1: Bleach and pluck the knots on the lace if needed. Doing this will make the unit look more natural.

Step 2: Cut off the excess lace (in front of the wig hairs).

Step 3: Put your hair in a low ponytail or in 7 or more straight back cornrows.

Step 4r: Cover all of your hair with a nylon wig cap.

Step 5: If your wig cap is not the same color as your skin, apply some powder foundation to it. The foundation should be the same color as your skin.

Step 6: Use an alcohol pad, or a cotton ball and alcohol, to clean your hairline from temple to temple - avoid your natural hair.

Step 7: Apply some of the same foundation to the underside of the lace.

Step 8: Put the wig on your head and then shift it back behind your hairline.

Step 9: Spray the skin in front of your hairline with the got2b Glued Spray or apply a lace adhesive. Let it dry for 30 seconds or so, and then press the lace into the got2b glued spray or adhesive.

Step 10: Comb through and style the wig as desired.
